Offshore Wind Farm
Off the southeast coast of England the world's largest wind farm opened on Thursday, as part of the British government's push to boost renewable energy. This is important because it will produce enough electricity to power more than 200,000 homes a year. There is 100 windmills seven miles off the coast it will boost the renewable energy now generated by the onshore and offshore wind turbines around the U.K. Britian now has the capacity to produce 5 gigawatts of wind-powered energy. Roughly the amount of energy needed to power all homes in scotland. This is a great boost for the envirement.
